A Thousand Wacos, A Thousand Ruby Ridges

The Supreme Court of the United States has officially declared that you do not have a right to own property, despite the protection of the Fifth Amendment, using the flimsy excuse that "just compensation" can be determined by the municipality that wishes to steal the land from its rightful owner.

This decision, I believe (and in some ways hope, despite myself) will lead to a thousand Wacos and a thousand Ruby Ridges.

Here is my vow and I hope that all of you who read this will take a similar pledge and stand by it:

I vow that if a government entity attempts to take my property from me, for whatever reason, I will stand firm and protect my property with words, physical force, and even with force of arms if necessary. I will not relent in my protection of my property until I have received a fair settlement, the government entity wishing to take my land has relented, or my dead body is plowed under by their bulldozers.

I hope every other property owner in this nation will take a similar vow and back it up by owning and knowing how to use a rifle. The Supreme Court does not speak for the people of the United States of America! Show them that!

A Thousand Wacos! A Thousand Ruby Ridges!

ConsiderLDS.com

I found a great site which debates whether or not the LDS Religion ("The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" or "Mormons") is true. It uses LDS doctrine (and LDS doctrine alone) to debunk the religion itself.

This is a very well-done document and one that I'm glad to have found in its infancy (it was, apparently, only posted yesterday).

unPATRIOT Act Morons

Check this out: currently, the so-called Patriot Act is believed (apparently) by most Americans to be useful in fighting "terrorism." Oi.

Read EFF's Legal Guide for Bloggers

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has sent a press release and opened two new sections of their site geared towards the legalities of blogging. There are many ways to get in trouble thanks to your blog: copyright infringements, the shaky "journalistic ground" blogs are currently on, and more.

Luckily, EFF has published a legal guide for bloggers. You can read that at http://www.eff.org/bloggers/lg/. It's extremely informative and I'd suggest anyone who publishes online (bloggers especially) read it.

If you want to join in the fight to preserve our rights outlined in the First Amendment, then go to the EFF's "Blogger Resources" page: http://www.eff.org/bloggers/.

Blog on!
